This 90 minute program will provide information on Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, current research and what can be done to reduce an infant’s risk of SIDS. How to effectively use available resources and teaching tools to promote community based SIDS awareness and risk reduction will also be covered. Targeted groups for this presentation could include para-professionals, professionals, and agency staff who serve high risk populations, pregnant women, expectant families, parents of newborns, and other infant caregivers.
This educational session can be adapted for presentations to pregnant women, expectant families, parents of newborns and other caregivers by modifying the content and shortening the time frame.
